Lebanese Army arrests Israeli spy

The Lebanese Army has arrested a Lebanese national working for the Israeli intelligence suspected of gathering information on Hezbollah. 
The informant identified only as Marwan F. was arrested in cooperation with Hezbollah's security officials ten days ago following months of surveillance by the army, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported on Monday. 
Marwan, a resident of the southern Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh, confessed that he had been employed by Israeli intelligence services to work as a spy during the early 1990s when he lived in France, the paper said. 
He was then assigned to relay information about the movement's headquarters, members and military plans. He also gathered information on the Lebanese army. 
The investigation revealed that Marwan, who is in his 40s, did not conduct any sort of attacks and that he acted alone. 
Marwan told his interrogators that he used advanced internet software to communicate with the Israelis. 
He however also decided to cut off all contact with Israel following Israel's 33-day war on Lebanon in 2006.
